Houston, TX · Serving Texas & Florida
Structural steel, metal roofing, wall panels and full dry-in. We take a pre-engineered building from bare slab to a sealed, weather-tight shell — then your interior trades start.
What we do
The company name says erector. The scope is the whole envelope — and that is what a general contractor is actually buying.
We receive the building package, verify the shipment, and assemble it from bare slab to standing frame.
ScopeColumns, rigid frames, girts, purlins and bracing — set, plumbed and bolted to the engineer's drawings.
ScopeStanding seam and screw-down panel systems, installed to hold up under Gulf Coast weather.
ScopeExterior panel installation, liner panels and trim — square, tight and true to the corner.
ScopeWe hand the building over sealed and weather-tight, ready for interior trades to start the same week.
ScopeDoors, large sliding and bay doors, framed openings, louvres and skylights.

Why Steel Erectors AV
Luis Alvarado and María Alvarado own the company. When you call, you reach a decision maker, not a dispatcher.
25 direct crew plus 3 independent crews we bring on regularly, so a bigger job does not mean a longer schedule.
OSHA 10 and 30 trained crews, certified equipment operators, and mandatory fall protection on every job. No exceptions.
We do not stop at the frame. The building is turned over dried in and weather-tight, ready for interior trades.

Our story
“I started setting steel at sixteen. 22 years later my wife and I run our own crews.”
I came from Mexico in 2004 and went straight into metal building erection at sixteen years old. I spent about seven years in Atlanta learning the trade on hangar and warehouse jobs, then moved to Texas and worked my way up to foreman running three crews.
Eventually my wife María and I decided to build our own company. Today we run 25 people directly, with three more crews we bring on when a job needs them. I am still on the site — that has not changed and it is not going to.
Where we work
We travel to where the work is. If your building is going up somewhere between the two, ask us anyway.
Long history in the Houston market.
Most of our work over the last three years.
Send drawings, a location and a rough timeline. We will come back with a scope and a number.
